The Associate / Senior Associate Building Surveyor Role

You’ll play a key role in the delivery of professional Building Surveying services to a well-established client base, spanning sectors such as industrial, commercial offices, retail, and mixed-use. Depending on your level, you will also be expected to contribute to the mentoring of junior surveyors and the wider growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on a range of professional instructions including dilapidations, landlord and tenant matters, reinstatement cost assessments, technical due diligence, and contract administration

  • Manage all phases of the dilapidations process – from survey to negotiation

  • Maintain and grow relationships with an existing, lucrative client base

  • Support and develop junior surveyors, graduates and apprentices through structured mentoring and APC guidance

  • Contribute to service delivery improvements and support senior leadership on business development initiatives

  • Work collaboratively with other business areas to deliver a seamless service to clients

The Successful Candidate Will Have

Qualifications:

  • MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor

Experience & Attributes:

  • Strong experience delivering core professional surveying services, particularly dilapidations

  • Confident in client-facing settings with experience managing key stakeholders

  • Able to manage projects from inception to completion or eager to step into a more autonomous role

  • Excellent report writing and communication skills

  • Commercially aware, with experience in office, industrial, retail, or mixed-use sectors

  • A proactive and personable approach, with a passion for continuous improvement
