The Chartered Building Surveyor Role

As a Chartered Building Surveyor, you will take on a pivotal role in providing high-quality consultancy services across a wide array of projects. This includes dilapidations, technical due diligence, contract administration, and planned preventative maintenance, ensuring a broad and rewarding workload.

In addition to project delivery, you will also play a key role in mentoring junior team members, enhancing your leadership skills and contributing to the team’s ongoing success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering an extensive range of Building Surveying services for commercial clients.
  • Managing projects such as dilapidations, technical due diligence, contract administration, and planned preventative maintenance.
  • Building and maintaining robust client relationships.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior surveyors to foster growth and development.
  • Contributing to the continued success and expansion of the Building Consultancy team.

The Ideal Chartered Building Surveyor will have

  • Qualifications: MRICS accreditation.
  • Experience: Strong background in commercial Building Surveying, including professional instructions.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and client management abilities.
  • Attributes: Organised, methodical, and commercially aware, with a diligent approach to work.
  • Desirables: Experience in construction monitoring, reinstatement cost assessments, or party wall matters is advantageous but not essential.
