Building Surveyor – Birmingham

A client of mine, a well-established and respected multi-disciplinary consultancy, are looking to speak with a talented Building Surveyor to join their Birmingham office. With an increasing workload and a diverse project portfolio, this role presents an exciting opportunity for a Building Surveyor eager to progress their career within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
The Opportunity
Joining a dynamic and growing team, the successful Building Surveyor will be involved in a range of professional and project work, from condition surveys and building pathology to contract administration and project delivery. Working across a broad spectrum of sectors, including residential, commercial, and public sector projects, no two days will be the same.
You’ll benefit from a flexible, hybrid working culture, supportive RICS APC mentorship, and a clear route for progression within the business.
The Building Surveyor’s Role
You will work alongside experienced surveyors and technical staff, supporting both measured and condition surveys, AutoCAD drawing preparation, statutory consent applications, and more. The role provides an excellent balance between hands-on site work and office-based responsibilities, perfect for someone looking to refine their technical skills while contributing to larger project delivery.
The Successful Building Surveyor Will Have
Qualifications:

A degree in Building Surveying (RICS-accredited) or working towards one

Competency with AutoCAD (essential)
Knowledge and Attributes:

Solid experience in measured and condition surveys

Refurbishment and alteration knowledge of existing buildings

Previous consultancy experience (essential)

Strong communication and client-facing skills
-
A desire to build a long-term career with opportunity for growth

Full UK driving licence and own transport
