Overview
A highly awarded multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking a skilled Principal Designer with a background in Building Safety Act (BSA) compliance to join their esteemed team. This renowned consultancy is celebrated for its excellence across various sectors, providing innovative and sustainable solutions for high-profile projects.
Responsibilities of the Principal Designer
- Provide comprehensive Principal Designer services, including compiling pre-construction information, managing design risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with BSA and CDM regulations.
- Collaborate closely with design teams, clients, and contractors to develop and implement effective safety and risk management strategies.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure ongoing compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Lead workshops and training sessions for design teams on best practices in risk management and safety.
- Review and approve construction phase plans, ensuring all necessary safety measures are in place and adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
The Principal Designer
- Degree qualified in Architecture, Construction, or Engineering.
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
- Membership with IOSH or APS.
- Extensive experience in delivering Principal Designer services within a consultancy or architectural practice.
- Strong understanding of the Building Safety Act and CDM regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with various stakeholders.
