A forward-thinking, dynamic Fire Consultancy is seeking a talented Associate Fire Engineer to join their modern North London-based team. This role offers a unique opportunity for a motivated professional to lead complex projects and manage a diverse team of fire engineers.

The Associate Fire Engineer Role

The successful Associate Fire Engineer will work closely with the Head of Fire Engineering to drive business growth and develop client relationships. You will be responsible for managing large, complex Fire Engineering projects and overseeing a team of Senior Fire Engineers, Fire Engineers, and Graduate Fire Engineers, often from a remote location. The company has secured significant projects in the commercial and residential sectors, requiring excellent client relationship management and coordination with the team on fire risk assessments, FRAEWs, and various surveys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage large, complex Fire Engineering projects.
  • Lead and mentor a team of fire engineers, ensuring high standards and professional development.
  • Work closely with clients to deliver tailored fire safety solutions.
  • Conduct fire risk assessments, FRAEWs, and both intrusive and non-intrusive surveys.
  • Perform peer reviews and maintain compliance with industry standards.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years’ experience in fire engineering.
  • Engineering degree (MEng or MSc).
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
  • Experience with PAS9980:2022 and EWS1 forms.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
