An executive, UK leading Public Body are looking for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join the business, you can be based anywhere across the UK.

This role offers the opportunity to work specifically within the conservation and heritage markets.

The Chartered Building Surveyors’ role

The successful Chartered Building Surveyor will join an executive Public Body that look after England’s historic environment, taking on a significant role within the business.

In this role, the Chartered Building Surveyor will become the Head of Historic Buildings & Climate Change Adaptation, responsible for identifying and advising on the impacts of climate change on historical buildings and properties.

This is a unique opportunity in which you’ll be working exclusively within the conservation and heritage space, on some of the most prestigious historical buildings across the UK.

Day to day, your key responsibilities will include participating in and leading both internal and external committees, contributing to consultations, leading the delivery of authoritative evidence-based advice and developing the businesses research programme.

This role is perfectly suited to a Chartered Building Surveyor, with experience within the conservation and heritage markets, who may be interested in exploring a fresh opportunity within a new and exciting environment.

The Chartered Building Surveyor

  • A strong background in Building Surveying (bonus if you’re currently working as a Senior or above BS)
  • Extensive experience within and strong knowledge of the conservation and heritage markets
  • MRICS qualification is preferred but not essential
  • A degree in Building Surveying is beneficial but not essential
  • Confident and client-facing individual with extensive communication skills
  • A strong understanding of UK legislation
  • Previous leadership experience is beneficial but not essential
