It was the Summer of 2018 and it was one of the hottest on record.

Rain, what rain?

23 young cubs were sent to Russia and returned as a Pride… a Pride of Lions… roared on by an extremely proud nation.

Paragon and Bond Davidson joined forces.

BBQs every day; Field fires; Trump! The list goes on.

Despite a Summer full of surprises, there is something that remains constant…

QUANTITY SURVEYORS REQUIRED!

The construction industry needs Quantity Surveyors like my geraniums need a bloody good downpour!

In London there has been an immediate requirement for Quantity Surveyors ranging from Assistants who are committed achieving MRICS and expanding their knowledge, all the way up to Associate Quantity Surveyors with strong technical knowledge, good management skills, and the ambition to become a Director.

What about those QS’s in between? Yes, the need is high for all:-

·       Quantity Surveyors close to sitting the APC

·       MRICS Quantity Surveyors seeking that next step and becoming a Senior

·       Senior Quantity Surveyors

Switching direction to the South West where there has been a clear spike in the QS construction market, especially in Bristol. The Consultancies are predominantly targeting Quantity Surveyors who can come in a hit the ground running.

It’s also worth noting that the pay gap between the South West and London is reducing.

Overall, the QS market remains buoyant across the whole of the UK. As usual the London market remains the centre of construction and the need for good Quantity Surveyors remains at a critical level!
