A prestigious and innovative construction consultancy is seeking an experienced Head of Principal Design to lead their BSA 2022 Principal Design team in Manchester.

This role is crucial for driving compliance and ensuring the highest safety standards across all projects, in line with the Building Safety Act 2022.

The Head of Principal Design's Role

• Leading the BSA PD team, providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
• Ensuring all projects adhere to the Building Safety Act 2022 and other relevant regulations from design to completion.
• Identifying and managing design risks, ensuring effective mitigation strategies are in place.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert advice on compliance and safety matters.
• Developing and delivering training programs to enhance the team's knowledge and understanding of BSA 2022.

The Successful Head of Principal Design

• Extensive experience in a Principal Designer role, with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
• Relevant industry qualifications such as MRICS, MCABE, NEBOSH Construction Certificate, or equivalent.
• Regulation Expertise: Deep understanding of the Building Safety Act 2022 and current building regulations.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• A proactive and strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement in safety standards.
