A highly regarded City-based law firm, known for its entrepreneurial culture and high-profile legal work, is seeking an Associate Solicitor to join its respected Financial Services department. Based in London, this permanent opportunity offers the chance to specialise in structured finance and FinTech within a client-facing, market-leading team.

The Associate Solicitor will work directly with established FinTech lenders and funders across the UK, Europe, and North America, including challenger banks, credit funds, and consumer or SME lending platforms. Acting as a trusted advisor, the Associate Solicitor will support clients on both product development and complex funding structures.

The Associate Solicitor’s role

The Associate Solicitor will focus on delivering specialist banking and finance legal services, including:

  • Advising FinTech platforms on structuring and documenting credit products for the consumer and SME markets

  • Leading on structured finance transactions such as warehouse lines, forward flows, and private securitisations

  • Drafting and negotiating lending and security documentation, based on LMA standards

  • Providing regulatory and commercial structuring advice to FinTech lenders

  • Working directly with high-growth FinTech clients, such as Revolut, iwoca and Curve

  • Collaborating with cross-practice teams on multi-faceted financial services matters

The Associate Solicitor

To be considered for this Associate Solicitor role, candidates will ideally have:

  • Experience in banking and finance

  • Experience in structured finance

  • Strong technical ability with LMA documentation and securitisation structures

  • UK qualification (or equivalent) with a solid private practice background

  • Demonstrable client-facing skills and commercial awareness

  • A genuine interest in FinTech and the evolving financial services sector
