HR and Training Manager

A great opportunity for an HR professional to join a thriving , high-quality construction company based by Oxford Circus in Central London. There is flexibility to work from home for some of the working hours.

The Company

The HR and Training Manager will join a Main Contractor (construction company) that provides very high quality building services across Commercial, Residential, Education, Heritage, Leisure and Retail projects. With a very strong reputation they are entrusted to work on many high-profile, high value construction initiatives.

Having grown to 150 employees, with great relationships with many sub-contractors, they are now looking for an ambitious and energetic individual to lead the Human Resource function, including a strong focus on people training and development.

The Role

The HR and Training Manager will work across all departments, supporting Line Managers in the implementation of HR policy and procedures. You will also assist strategically in the development of new and improved policies and procedures.

This is a generalist HR role that will suit someone who wishes to lead a company HR function.

There is also a focus on training and development which is an area of high priority to the employer.

The Person

The successful HR and Training Manager will have:

  • A minimum of 4 years HR Management experience
  • Commercially astute and business focussed
  • Relevant professional qualifications or memberships such as CIPD
  • Experience or interest in training and development programmes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Confident and effective communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and across all levels of the business

Ideally, you will have previous experience in a similar position within the construction industry, be that with a Main Contractor, consultancy, sub-contractor or developer.
